A conversation with Wendy-Ann Pompey: A Partnership in Purpose
For some, a career begins with a plan. For others, it begins with a calling.
For the founder of the Institute of Advanced Footcare, the journey into professional foot care was not mapped out in advance, it was divinely orchestrated.
A Spirit-Led Beginning
It began during one of the lowest seasons of her life, a time marked by uncertainty and searching. In that quiet place, she heard God speak clearly for the first time:
“You will wash feet the way I washed my disciples’ feet.”
At the time, the message made little sense. Foot care was not part of her career plans. Years earlier, she had completed a nail technology course, but only the pedicure module and even that felt distant and forgotten.
Looking back now, she sees that moment as the true beginning of her calling.
“This wasn’t about technique or a job. It was about service, healing, and humility,” she explains. “Every time I tried to walk away from this industry, God pulled me back. sometimes kicking and screaming.”
What once felt unexpected has become sacred. Foot care is now the space where she serves from the ground up, meets people at their most vulnerable, and helps transform pain into purpose.
The Quiet Rewards of Sacred Work
When asked about the most rewarding part of working in foot health, her answer is: the people.
Clients, students, elders, youth - each has left an imprint on her heart. Some became lifelong friends, others collaborators, and many part of a growing healing community.
This work has never been just a job. It’s a sacred exchange.”
Whether easing pain, restoring dignity, educating practitioners, or simply listening, she has witnessed how foot care opens doors to trust, connection, and transformation.
Inspired by Healing, Driven by Education
At the Institute of Advanced Footcare, inspiration is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: Healing is a human right and education is the pathway to it.
This philosophy fuels every initiative, especially the recently launched Global Footprints Initiative, a movement designed to transform foot health across the Caribbean and West Africa.
Through this work, the Institute is building a legacy of impact by offering:
-
🎓 Ethical certification and accessible regional training
-
📚 Client education that empowers self-advocacy and proper foot care
-
🤝 A healing community where practitioners and clients grow together
Every practitioner we train becomes a ripple of care. Every client we educate takes a step toward dignity, mobility, and wellness.
A Commitment to Growth and Excellence
Staying motivated comes from understanding the weight of the work. I’m not just offering foot care, I’m holding space for healing, restoration, and transformation.
That responsibility demands continuous growth. Every client, every student, every story reinforces the need to stay curious, teachable, and deeply connected to her vision of building a legacy that outlives her.
Growing with Imperial Feet: A Partnership in Purpose
Her partnership with Imperial Feet began in 2018 while searching for products that were both ethical and effective.
From the CEO, Sylke Bommel, to every team member I encountered, the warmth and professionalism were unmatched.
Imperial Feet quickly became more than a product line - it became a tool for transformation. In Trinidad, she saw firsthand how high-quality foot care could restore comfort, confidence, and emotional well-being.
When the opportunity arose to expand across the Caribbean and into West Africa, the decision was easy. "It was never just about distribution. It was about education, empowerment, and long-term wellness.”
That vision led her to design the 7-Step Restorative Medi-Pedi, a structured treatment integrating Imperial Feet’s most powerful products with clinical precision, sensory healing, and client education. Today, it serves as a blueprint for practitioners to deliver consistent, high-quality, restorative care.
Products That Deliver Real Results
Among her personal favorites are the Nail Mycosis Solution and Athlete’s Foot Solution, praised for their consistent, gentle, and effective results.
But the standout for her personally? The Magnesium Oil! I’ve used it on myself countless times.
She recalls experiencing leg cramps mid-interview, applying the oil, and feeling relief within minutes. That’s the kind of product I stand behind. Real relief, real results.
Clients agree. The Nail Mycosis Solution, Athlete’s Foot Solution, Magnesium Oil, and Urea Balm are constant best-sellers.
They fly off the shelves and the feedback is always the same: This works!
Beyond Products: Treatments That Transform
At the Institute, treatments go far beyond standard care.
The Restorative Medi-Pedi, paired with foot reflexology training, blends clinical excellence with sensory healing. Education remains central - from consultations to certification programs - ensuring practitioners understand not just how to treat, but why.
When education leads the way, results always follow.
A Vision Rooted in Legacy
Her vision for foot care in Trinidad and beyond is bold and uncompromising.
This is about transforming the face of foot care across the Caribbean and West Africa. After a three-year hiatus, her return to the industry came with clarity and conviction. I came back different. Called to build something that outlives me.
The journey has taken her to Africa. We’re not just teaching treatments,” she says. “We’re building a movement.”
A Message to Professionals Ready to Elevate
For practitioners considering Imperial Feet, her message is clear:
If you’re serious about results, trust, and growth - this is a game-changer.”
These products don’t sit on shelves. They move. They work. And they allow you to serve with confidence. Imperial Feet, she believes, isn’t just a product line - it’s a standard.
And for those of us committed to excellence: it’s the kind of partnership that makes impact inevitable.
